Hibernian need to add attacking threat - Rachael Boyle

Hibs have shown they can defend against the top teams, now they need to add more going forward says Rachael Boyle.

Hibernian are close to being able to beat SWPL 1’s top teams again, believes defender Rachael Boyle.

The Edinburgh side, who currently lie fifth in the table, recently took points off Glasgow City while they gave both Rangers and Celtic tough games.

And with Dean Gibson set to strengthen his side in summer, Boyle says it could be a different Hibs that emerges next season.

“I think in terms of the group and the players that we’ve got available, this season has been a bit disappointing,” Boyle told Anyone’s Game.

“We’ve obviously not got the size of squad as some of the other teams in the league. We’ll look to rectify that this year but we’ve had a lot of young girls coming through the ranks so its been good and promising to see them for next year, and we’ll definitely be raring to go for the start of next year.

“We need to recruit, we need to recruit well. I think we’ve got a few girls lined up to come in over summer so it’ll be a case of getting them integrated into the squad as quickly as possible and find a way of playing, because we’ve shown we can defend against the top teams but we then need to show a threat going forward, so that’s what we’ll be working on.”
