Hibernian are being unfairly targeted for criticism believes head coach Dean Gibson.
The Edinburgh side are currently fifth in SWPL 1, but put in two credible performances in what were narrow defeats to the top two of Rangers and Glasgow City within the past week.
They travel to face third-place Celtic on Sunday afternoon, a side who are buoyed by their midweek Old Firm win over Rangers.
“When I listen back to certain things after the game it confuses me at times,” said Gibson, whose side lost 1-0 to Rangers on Sunday and 2-1 to champions City on Wednesday.
“Some teams are getting beat 6-0, 7-0 and they’re getting praised. We’re running these teams close and we’re getting criticised.
“So I don’t know what some people are seeing at times, but in terms of us in-house at Hibs we’re very happy with how we’re performing at the minute, and we know what we’re going up against.
“We know how hard we’ve been hit as a squad in terms of injuries, numbers, players playing out of position. We’re happy as a group and we’ll take confidence going in to Sunday’s game.”
